Dear Parents and Guardians

Welcome to Week 8

Open Day

On Friday this week, the College community celebrated our Open Day. In keeping with our Servite value of Hospitality, we opened our doors to prospective families and friends to spend some time in our school.

The day allowed us to reflect on the many wonderful events and programmes happening at our dynamic school. We were thrilled to have in excess of 165 people attend the event and are grateful to our dedicated staff and students for their efforts in ensuring the success of the day.

Halogen "Imagination" Leaders Conference Reflections

On Thursday 16 March the Year 10, 11 and 12 student leaders attended the Halogen Leadership Conference at the Perth Convention Centre. All who attended left inspired to believe in their own story of success, knowing that when they work together, the possibilities are endless.

Tracy Vo, a cultured Channel 9 journalist, inspired us to embrace our heritage and treat others with compassion and respect. She said the two most important aspects of our leadership are how we prepare for what might happen, and how we react to what actually happens. Very inspiring!

IMAGINATION was such an amazing experience, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone. My favourite speaker of the day was Peter Sharpe. His confidence and creative skills are amazing. Everyone thought he would be boring, but once he began his dance, we enjoyed every moment of it! Cannot wait for next year!

ACC Swimming Carnival

Image03On Friday 10 March, the ACC swim team attended a swim camp at Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre. This is the first year we have had a swim camp and it was a huge success. The day started with dual Olympian Travis Nederpelt talking to the team about his experiences and how to prepare for their events. After Mr Nederpelt's captivating speech, the team was excited about diving into the pool. Throughout the day the team focused on technique and final event selections before concluding our time together with a team bonding activity. Thank you to Ms Plant, Ms Potter and Mr Wilkes for passing on their expert knowledge. The team benefited from your immense swimming knowledge and experience.
