Student Facilitators Lead Sacramental Preparation
Our students from the Year 10 Cert II in Active Volunteering made their way out to Mary MacKillop Catholic Community Primary School to bring some joy and share their faith as they facilitated the Year 3 Reconciliation Retreat. Coordinating games, sharing their own experiences of life and leading small group workshops, Servite students assisted the Year 3 students to come to a deeper appreciation of God’s love, the Sacrament of Reconciliation and how rules help keep us safe.
We look forward to leading more sacramental preparation and student leadership retreats with a number of our partner primary schools around Perth later in 2020.
24:7 SERVE Youth Group
Should Catholics vote for Donald Trump? Are Catholics cannibals? Racism in our world today? This Term the 24:7 SERVE Youth Group has been exploring a variety of hot topics and discussing some tough questions as they relate to our lives and to our faith. Students presented their perspectives and guided the Youth Group conversation, creating space for many deep thoughts and reflections to better understand how faith, life and culture connect.
Talent Show – Friday 3 July
To bring our Term to a close, we will be having a talent show as we come together and share the many gifts and talents of the students in our Youth Group. All Students from Year 6-Year 12 are warmly invited to join us.
