A Modern Day Ballard
I see the frustration in his eyes
he’s angry at the blindside
he finds it hard to see the light
overshadowed by the dark side
who is that I see off the beaten track
he is but a criminal, “that’s Clyde”
I sat up admired the sight,
He is only but my King
And I am only but his Queen,
How I love the way you kill, shoot and steal,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the aesthetic creel,
He gives his gun a shake, Rat-tat-tat-tat,
Down goes the teller slowly
Drowning in blood
Oh how the sweet smell of money
Like nectar
Like honey
But what we did not know was that
the Feds were on our tail
trying to send us back to jail
first Clyde was shot he is to frail
I hear his lungs rattle and rail ‘bang’ Images – Courtesy of Pinterest
Now we must say goodbye with one bloodied eye open I see your life fading away,
Remember my glad words whilst we depart this world
I love you, my King
