iServi News | 4 June 2021 | Term 2, Week 7
Congratulations to all members of the Associated and Catholic Colleges (ACC) cross country team. It was a real pleasure to see the students involved trying their best and enjoying the experience. The College had runners representing the College in every age group. A particular thanks to students that ran ‘up’ in age group. The ACC event has grown over the years and has more than 4000 competitors and 76 schools represented. It was a pleasure to be involved in a team that showed excellent spirit, encouragement and support for each other.

In a team event it is always difficult to single out individual performance. However, the following students should be recognised for their outstanding individual efforts:
- Cody Tana (OLS3) 12th overall in U16 boys
- Ciaran Glackin (SE7) 22nd overall in U16 boys
- Emily Poga (SM4) 25th overall in U16 girls
- Cleo Demonchaux (SM3) 48th overall in U16 girls
Thank you to our staff, including Mr Hailes and Ms Lang for their dedication and commitment to the Running Club. The work of students involved with Running Club from their early morning sessions on Tuesday and Friday during Term 1 and 2 was evident. Thank you, students for your continued involvement in Running Club. Also, thanks to Mr Henderson and Ms Lang for their help with organising runners and cheering the team home at the ACC carnival. A final thanks to all students that have been involved in ACC Cross Country this year, whether it was at training, competing or supporting as a reserve, we hope you enjoyed the experience in 2021 and look forward to seeing you all in 2022.
Mr Dave Maxwell
