Visual Arts Spotlight
Seth Carter
One thing I love about visual art is that I get to read and write about art and discuss it with my friends and teachers. I really enjoy being able to discover new art and find things that inspire my style and my own artwork.
My love for the arts has been strong from a very young age, being introduced to music, film and other forms of visual art from my mum. Since I was young, I have been heavily influenced by the different music and films I have seen throughout my life, which is probably the driving force behind any creative work I do. One thing about my art is that I try to replicate the feelings that my favourite artworks ignite.
I would say I have so many different influences and inspirations that I don’t really have one distinct style. One thing I definitely like capturing in my art is feeling and I want to trigger some kind of emotion in the audience.
I definitely want to work in a creative field in the future, whether it’s visual art or not, which is quite a broad spectrum. I love to create and make art so any form of creative expression would be a great career for me.
