Certificate II in Sport Coaching

This Term, we completed our first aid certificates as a part of our Certificate II in Sport Coaching.

During our classes we responded to first aid situations by completing the seven stages of the DRSACBD Action Plan (Danger, Response, Send, Airway, Breathing, CPR, Defibrillation) in order to successfully help a person in need.

We had to perform four minutes of CPR on both and adult and infant mannequin. We also went through how to use EpiPens, treat asthma and choking along with how to bandage correctly (such as how to elevate a broken arm or how to treat a snake bite).

Overall, all students enjoyed these sessions as we got to put into practice our knowledge in order to help the patient.
