A range of mental health services are available to all members of our community who could use some support.
Don’t let lockdown get you down. There are so many awesome things you can do at home when you unplug from your devices. You’ll be surprised at how productive you can be with the extra free time and without the usual distractions.
Remember, “if you talk about it, it’s a dream, if you envision it, it’s a possibility, but if you schedule it, it’s a reality.” (Anthony Robbins)
Below are some ideas to get you thinking:
- Start a hobby/ interest
- Master your favourite dish
- Cook/bake something new
- Make cake pops
- Start a jigsaw puzzle
- Learn to sew, knit, crochet
- Try renovating a piece of furniture
- Take the time out for a home spa with face masks, exfoliators
- Learn calligraphy or how to draw
- Read a new series of books/ re-read your all-time favourite/ read a classic (I personally love Sherlock Holmes)
- It’s never too late to learn a musical instrument
- Sort out your digital photos
- Create a collage of your favourite memories
- Create something with a 3D printer
- Try Yoga or Pilates
- Start a Gratitude Journal
- Start a diary/ visual scrapbook
- Learn to paint or draw
- Re-organise/ decorate your room
- Watch a family movie/ favourite movie
- Learn to touch type
- Write a letter to someone
- Write a letter to thank someone
- Learn a language on Duolingo.
- Do Just Dance
- Learn to make candles/ soap
- Crack the Rubik Cube
- Learn to juggle
- Learn body percussion
- Bring out the board games and card games (Catan, Ticket to Ride and Exploding Kittens are my favourites)
