Students in Years 7-11 from Servite College Learning Diversity classes attended the annual ACC Inclusive Athletics Carnival on Friday 11 September.
Year 11 Servite students started the event by leading all students behind the College banner in the competitor parade around McGillivray Oval.
Our students entered a variety of events throughout the day including shot put, long jump, 750 metre shuttle relay and novelty team games.
Students gave a terrific performance throughout the day, including Sam Becvarovski who won Second Place for the Mixed Open Shot Put (Division 2) event, Angela Dragicevic who won Second Place for Girls U15 70 metres (Division 2) and Peter Nyguen who won Second Place Boys Open 70 metre sprint (Division 2).
All students had a fabulous day and thoroughly enjoyed representing the College in this annual event.

On Friday 11 September we went to the ACC Athletics carnival in Mount Claremont.
First, we went on the bus and I sat next to Alex. We also talked for a bit and talked about what we did in the morning.
Next, we went to the marquee mat and sat next to Mercedes College and La Salle College. We were also setting out our tarps and bags.
Then the events started. I did shot put first. I came second place and got 6.96 metres.
After that I did the baton race and came third and got two ribbons.
Finally, we got on the bus to go home. On the way back I sat next to Angela and when we got back we looked at photos the staff took and then we went home.
I had a great day!

On Friday 11 September 2020 I went on the bus with my friends to the ACC Athletics carnival in Claremont.
After the bus drive we finally arrived at McGillivray oval.
Once we arrived we set up a tent and put down a mat to sit on, we sat next to Mercedes college and La Salle college.
The first event of the day was the school march. I ran in the first race 70 metres which I came 5th, I was happy because I was given a ribbon for trying.
My next event was the novelty race called leader ball, I really enjoyed this event as I like throwing the ball.
Finally, the day came to an end and we all packed up ready to go back to school.
I had the best athletics carnival, it was awesome!

On Friday 11 September, the Learning Diversity classes went the ACC Inclusive carnival at Mt Claremont, McGillivray Park on the school bus.
When we arrived, we put our bags under the tent where we sat together as a school. We started the day by lining up as schools for our march onto the running track.
After the march we sat under the tent and waited to be called for our events. My first race was the relay baton. Our team came second.
After the race I went back to the tent and had my morning tea and waited for my next activity. My last race was the novelty event and we came fourth in this event.
When we finished our races, we cleaned our area of the tent and packed our bags to get ready for the bus to come back to school.
