iServi News | 21 February 2020 | Term 1, Week 3
The Interpriory Swimming Carnival was on us in a flash this year, Wednesday 12 February 2020. With hot and humid conditions inside and outside of the pool at HBF Arena, Joondalup, it was a day to test our students’ endurance and Priory spirit. The students were wonderful, with many students getting into the water and representing their Priory with pride and enthusiasm. As with previous years, students had the opportunity to compete in traditional swimming events in the pool. Students better accustomed to dry land had the opportunity to compete in several land and pool-based novelty events.
The competition for the Priory shield was very close, with Saint Mary Priory leading for much of the day. The result of the day was decided by the final relay events. There could only be one winner – congratulations to Ms Melbourne and the Our Lady of Sorrows students and staff on a wonderful win. A huge thanks to all the staff, students and parents for their efforts throughout the day.
