iServi News | 15 May 2020 | Term 2, Week 3
It has been wonderful to welcome students back to College this week. As we have moved from our remote learning model to a face to face teaching, we have continued to see agility in our teachers and students in adjusting to these changes.
Something that we have noticed is that despite the mode of delivery, dynamic teaching and learning continues to happen at Servite. We know that our Servite Way of lesson design and delivery is founded in research of best practice and are confident that our teaching and learning programs are developing researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs, aligned with our Vision for Learning.
Exam Preparation
It has been superb to see our Year 11 and 12 students focus on their exam preparation this week. In addition to the resources available on SEQTA, Teams and OneNote for independent study, please see the updated timetables for teacher-led revision sessions below.
Intensive Revision Sessions
Our teacher-led intensive revision seminars are generating positive student feedback:
Clarified how to get full marks / went through marking key / did extra practice which would usually be done during the exam period.
Very good tips and tricks for exams and how to write good responses.
Learning what terms mean (perspective, contestable nature etc), allowing me to answer the source analysis questions.
It helped me in understanding the main concepts of a source analysis and helped in the preparation for the exam.
It was useful for someone to guide me through an exam paper and for some useful tips.
