Our Learning Diversity Centre students took part in Servite College’s first ever ACC Inclusive Beach Carnival at Sorrento Beach. After a scorcher of a week, the weather was perfect at an overcast 28 degrees.
The day began with two Ironman events- The Enticer and The Pursuit. All of our students decided to complete the more challenging Pursuit course where they raced students from other schools across the sand and across the waves on body boards.
The atmosphere was electric! What a competitive bunch we have! We were delighted to see Year 10 student, Harry (OLS5) come second place in the event against another 50 students!
After Morning Tea, we took part in a variety of races and events such as Leaky Pipes, Sponge Races, Body Boarding, Sand Tunnels and Castle Building.
We finished off the day with a free swim and a delicious sausage sizzle which was hosted by Sacred Heart College.
What a fantastic day we had and we cannot wait for our next Inclusive Sport Event in March.
