Alumni Spotlight: Class of 1986

Last Saturday, Servite College proudly welcomed back the Class of 1986 for a wonderful reunion, bringing together 51 alumnae and 5 former teachers to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate lifelong friendships.

A special thank you to Nerida Williams (née Cicci), Lucia Scarfo and Christobel Thaung, whose enthusiasm and hard work made the event possible. The response was overwhelming, with classmates travelling from interstate, Broome, and the Southwest to be part of the occasion.

During a guided tour of the College, many were eager to revisit familiar spaces and reflect on how much has changed over the past 40 years. Memories flowed as they explored former classrooms, the legendary “Dungeon” locker area, and other locations that played such a significant part in their school days. Alumnae also fondly recalled the opening of the Shanahan Building in 1985 and the construction of the Administration Building in 1984–85.

The reunion included a photo presentation featuring treasured Year 12 memories, sparking plenty of laughter, stories, and nostalgia. The celebrations continued off campus, where old friendships were rekindled and many more memories were shared.

Congratulations, Class of 1986! Your enthusiasm, camaraderie, and heartfelt rendition of the Servite College anthem were a beautiful reminder that the Servite spirit remains strong, no matter how many years have passed.
