Students get creative in Nannup

Students from Visual Arts, Dance and Media recently attended the Nannup Arts Camp, where they had the opportunity to develop their creative skills while engaging in authentic, real-world learning experiences.

Dance and Media students collaborated on a creative project, with Dance students choreographing contemporary works inspired by personal themes, while Media students planned and filmed the performances, applying media codes and conventions, production roles and post-production techniques to create cinematic dance videos (stay tuned for final products!). The beautiful Nannup landscape provided a stunning natural backdrop for their work.

Visual Arts students also embraced the environment through ‘plein air’ painting workshops, creating artwork on location and drawing inspiration directly from the Nannup scenery.
The camp was a wonderful opportunity for students to collaborate, build their creative practice and step outside their comfort zones in an inspiring setting.
