Jazz Performing Arts

On Wednesday 6 August, students from the Senior Jazz Combo travelled to La Salle College to participate in the annual Catholic Performing Arts Festival.

The Year 11 and 12 students performed two songs; ‘Take Five’ made famous by Dave Brubeck, and ‘Birdland’, a Jazz Fusion classic by the band Weather Report. They also had the opportunity to see other schools in the category perform.

The adjudicator feedback was positive, with the group receiving either ‘Excellent’ or ‘Outstanding’ results for each of the performance criteria.
