Languages Week 2025

This year for Languages Week we acknowledged and recognised that all languages and cultures are beautiful, and we celebrated them with the following activities:

• On Monday, Homerooms kicked off the week with a round of Tombola (Bingo), a beloved Italian Christmas game. Winners were treated to delicious, freshly made cannoli.
• During breaks, students had the chance to enjoy some of Perth’s finest gelati thanks to the Gelato Cart – a definite crowd-pleaser!
• At lunchtime, the Terrazza came alive with Italian card games. Briscola and Scopa were student favourites!
• Staff shared dishes from their cultural backgrounds during our much-loved “Sharitage Day”, a beautiful celebration of heritage, food, and community spirit.
• Homerooms also enjoyed Kahoots and quizzes, testing their knowledge of the many languages, cultures, and traditions that enrich our school.
• In PCP, our Year 7 students presented on their favourite countries, sharing fascinating insights and global perspectives.

And to top it all off, our talented music students performed Italian and Spanish songs at lunch, reminding us that music, dance, and culture are joyful and essential parts of Language Week.
