Yesterday, we celebrated the Seven Holy Founders Feast Day with a special community Mass.
Staff, students and families gathered to give thanks for the rich tradition that shapes our College.
During the Mass, led by Fr Peter Porteous, Provincial Delegate of the Servite Friars, our Year 12 Student Leaders were also formally commissioned and presented with their blessed badges – a significant moment as they step into leadership within our community.
The story of the Seven Holy Founders, who came together in Florence in 1233, is more than history. Their decision to step away from the noise of status and ambition to form a community grounded in prayer, support and shared purpose continues to shape who we are.
Canonised together, they remind us that holiness – and leadership – is not a solo achievement, but something lived in relationship. Because together, we are stronger.
As we commissioned our student leaders, we entrusted them with more than titles. They are called to be the visible expression of the Servite charisms:
Courage and compassion.
Hospitality and respect.
Justice and mercy.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special celebration.
