St Juliana celebratory Community Mass

Today the school gathered together for a celebratory Community Mass for the feast day of St Juliana Falconieri, one of the Patron Saints of our Servite College.

St Juliana’s life is significant for our community and Servite communities around the world because of her love of God and devotion to Mary which motivated her to bring about God’s justice in the world by serving the poor and marginalised people of Florence. She spread a message of peace in a time that was turbulent with conflict.

Saint Juliana became the Foundress of the Third Order of the Servites as she was attracted to the lifestyle, devotion and work of the Servite Order in Florence, and in particular by her Uncle Alexis. St Juliana is laid to rest in the Basilica of the Santissima Annunziata, Florence, Italy.
