STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
This week we were honoured to present one of our Year 11 students, Zoe (SC4) with an incredibly prestigious award called “ACC Letters” for her performance in athletics. The award was presented to Zoe at our school assembly by Ms Suzie Ehlers, Executive Officer at Associated & Catholic Colleges of WA.
“ACC Letters” in the highest individual accolade awarded by the association. To qualify, a student from an ACC school must be selected in an All Stars team in the same sport for the prescribed minimum number of years.
Zoe is the third student from Servite College to receive Letters since the award’s inception.
Students who are awarded Letters are presented with a framed “ACC Letter” as a memento of their outstanding achievement.
Zoe was selected in the Athletics All Stars team in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 which has qualified her for Letters as well as undertaking her fair share of work within this field.
Zoe was selected in the Athletics West Emerging Athlete Program where she has progressed significantly over the past two years with two gold medals for Long Jump and Triple Jump at the 2023 State Championships.
She gained national qualifications for both of those events as well as for the 100 metres. She competed at the Australian Track and Field Championships in Brisbane last year and was a finalist in the Long Jump. This is an amazing achievement for someone her age.
To add to her accolades, Zoe was also the winner of the WA Little Athletics Athlete of the Year award in 2022.
Zoe’s journey is a testament to her passion, perseverance, and hard work. Her commitment serves as an inspiration to us all, reminding us that with determination and grit, anything is possible.
Congratulations again Zoe on receiving this very special award!
