Term 2 Rocket League Grand Final

The Term 2 Rocket League eSports Grand Final took place today at Break 2, with a fantastic crowd of students turning out to watch one of the most exciting fixtures our program has seen.

The championship clash saw last year’s State, Australian and ANZ champions, Year 9 students Ody (SA4) and Josh (SA4) take on Year 8 students, Thomas (OLS6) and Issac (SC1) in a thrilling best-of-three series.

Thomas and Issac claimed Game 1 before Ody and Josh fought back to level the series in Game 2. With the teams locked at one game apiece, the Grand Final was decided by a Golden Goal match, where the first team to score would take the title.

In a dramatic finish, Thomas and Issac found the winning goal to secure the Term 2 Championship!

Congratulations to all four competitors for putting on an incredible display of skill, teamwork and sportsmanship, and thank you to everyone who came along to support and create such an electric atmosphere.
