Sustainable Servites representing the College

Yesterday, students from our Sustainable Servites represented Servite College at the WasteSorted Student Meet at Aquinas College, joining students from 22 other schools across Perth to share ideas, learn from one another and celebrate their sustainability journeys.

Our students proudly presented Servite’s own sustainability journey, sharing the growth of Sustainable Servites and initiatives including Containers for Change, paper and mixed recycling, Laudato Si’ Week, student-led workshops and our plans for future sustainability projects.

We were incredibly proud of the way our students spoke with such confidence and enthusiasm. They represented our College wonderfully and showed just how passionate our young people are about creating positive environmental change.

A highlight of the day was connecting and networking with students from other schools, hearing about the incredible initiatives happening across Perth and gathering new ideas for how we can continue to inspire action and strengthen sustainability at Servite.

There was also plenty of fun at the Sustainability Expo, with interactive stalls and games including waste sorting and guessing the weight of different items. We even scored some sustainability merch, including Keep Australia Beautiful hats and vests, which our LDC Juniors can put to good use as they continue their War on Waste!

We look forward to bringing these ideas back to our College community and continuing to build a more sustainable future together.
