Year 10 Retreat

Our Year 10 students recently took part in two meaningful Retreat Days focused on courage, service, leadership and decision making.

Day One saw students exploring Optus Stadium and its surrounds, reflecting on the courage needed to learn from history in order to shape the future.

Students also participated in a First Nations Cultural Experience on the Swan River, providing an opportunity to learn about the history of the land and the deep connection First Nations peoples have with Country. Through these experiences and discussions, students considered how we can serve our community and strive for excellence in all that we do.

On Day Two, students visited Teach Speak Hear, where they explored courage and decision making through the example of Mary our Mother, alongside contemporary leaders who inspire positive change in our world today. Students were encouraged to reflect on the influences in their own lives and consider what helps shape their choices and values.

Although a little chilly, both days provided wonderful opportunities for learning beyond the classroom while enjoying the beautiful surrounds of the Swan River and Lake Monger.

We thank all staff and facilitators who helped make these retreat experiences so memorable for our students.
