OLS celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows on Tuesday this week (a little earlier than the actual Feast date which is 15 September). Fr Ruben celebrated our Mass in our chapel, which was decorated with as much purple as we could find. Our mascot, Oogie even made an appearance! A big thank you to Mrs Williams, Ms Navarro, Aria Cozza, Aleah Demasi, Maddison Foster, Jorja Gemignani, Marcus Cozza, Gabby Marchesi, William Waldock and Helen Waldock for staying after school on Monday and setting everything up.
All of the students had been asked to bring in a can (or cans) to donate to St. Vincent de Paul on our Feast Day. We ended up with over 10 boxes of cans that were handed over that afternoon to Tom Fisher House, a homeless shelter run by St Vincent de Paul. They were very appreciative of our contribution.
We all came together again at lunchtime to share our traditional pizza lunch. A good time was had by all, with some great music setting the atmosphere while we sat and ate on the lawn.
