National Maths Success

The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) was introduced in 1978 as the first Australia-wide mathematics competition for students. One of the world’s largest school-based mathematics events, it has since spread internationally, with students in more than 30 countries attempting the same problems.

Welcome to Term 4

Welcome back to the start of Term 4. As I always say at the start and end of each term, I hope that families took advantage of the holiday time to spend some quality time together as a family. These times are crucial in renewing relationships with one another and reconnecting as a family in a world that is becoming increasing busy.

Year 8 Social Evening

This year’s Year Eight social activity was held at Superbowl WA, Warwick on the evening before their two-day Retreat in Week Eight of last term. Some had clearly played pool or bowled before and were generous in teaching others their tricks, but those new to the games learned quickly and were soon mixing it with the best of them.

Swimming Training

After a successful ACC Swimming Carnival in Term One, students at Servite College will have the opportunity to learn to swim and train for next year’s Inter-Priory and ACC Carnivals during Term Four. This will involve a 6 week training program run by the Physical Education Department. The program will commence on Tuesday 17 October.
