Wellbeing Week
Next week, Monday 5 September to Friday 9 September (Week 8), is Wellbeing Week at Servite College.
Our Wellbeing Week is aligned with the R U OK? Day campaign, a national initiative to support health and wellbeing for all Australians on Thursday 8 September.
During Wellbeing Week, we are encouraging all staff and students to use their breaks to build connections with others, have meaningful conversations and to be physically active to improve wellbeing.
All students are asked to wear their Physical Education Uniform (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and their Priory Uniform (Wednesday) for the week.
A range of games and activities will be offered at each lunch break including giant Jenga, handball competitions, juggling, skipping, totem tennis and more.
On Friday 9 September, students are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, or purchase lunch from the Cafe, and sit with their peers at the ‘Picnic on the Green’ event.
Music, market stalls and a mental health resource stand will be available.
R U OK? Resources
R U OK?Day is Thursday 8 September and the message this year is: ‘Ask R U OK? No qualifications needed.’
You don’t need to be an expert to ask R U OK? It’s something we can all do to support our friends, family, colleagues and those we care about.
Listening and giving someone your time might be just what they need to help them through a difficult period.
Resources, tips and ideas to help you drive genuine change in your workplace, school and community as part of R U OK? Day are available here.
