iServi News | 4 December 2020 | Term 4, Week 8
After a late start due to COVID-19, all Year 11 students enrolled in our Voc MyWay Pathway finally got to experience the world of work through their Workplace Learning Program. The program ran during the last two weeks of the 2020 academic calendar (9 November – 20 November) whilst Uni MyWay Pathway students were engaged in exams.
Students were placed in a variety of workplaces and industries and developed their transferrable skills. Feedback from Host Employers has been very positive, and many students found it to be a worthwhile experience in helping them make decisions about future career pathways.
Thank you to the parents and families of our current students for supporting the Pathways Team in our commitment to creating authentic learning opportunities.
If you are part of the Servite Community and would like to assist us in the future by providing a workplace contact for a Year 11 or 12 student please contact Mrs Libby De Masi at libby.demasi@servite.wa.edu.au in the Pathways Office to register your interest.
