Last Friday, our Year 9 Outdoor Education Class went on an orienteering trip to Optus Stadium. Students were all given a map to navigate the course and required to use their photography skills to be as creative as possible. Prizes were given for the most creative images.
Students were trusted to navigate the course and find the markers. The objective was for students to complete the course as quickly as possible. This enabled students to show their competitive edge. Students were also given the opportunity to learn about the indigenous landscape, attractions in the area and how the land was used to build the Optus Stadium.
The day was a fun and interactive opportunity for the Year 9 class to get out and explore the wonderful city we live in.
