The Year 9 Dimensional Design students have been working on the design and creation of grazing boards as part of an enterprise task included in their course this semester.
Students were required to interview a client and then design a grazing board based on their tastes and feedback. The aim was to create a final product specifically targeted to the client.
I was most fortunate to have been involved in the process as a client, and today I was gifted a genuinely outstanding grazing board from students Esperanca Cruz De Jesus (OLS1), Marlyn Lado (SE5) and Jorja Gemignani (OLS6). I am most grateful to the students for this wonderful gift and acknowledge their excellent communication, design and practical skills in creating the board.
Esperanca, Marlyn and Jorja showed terrific enterprise capacity in taking an idea and bringing it to fruition. They should be most proud of their efforts.
Congratulations to all of the Year 9 students involved in the program. They are to be commended for their innovation and engagement in the task. We also acknowledge Mr Rick Williams and Ms Sarah Needham for their work in creating such an authentic and interesting task for the students.
