Our entire Student Leadership Group met on Wednesday morning at 8.00am where the Year 12 Student Captains ran the small Group sessions and our Head Girl and Head Boy directed the meeting.
The group was asked to brainstorm on improving some of the facilities at the College. The second session centred on building a culture of ownership and responsibility for the new facilities.
Breakfast was provided and our Principal, Mr Allen, gave a Keynote speech and later showed the Leaders some of the future directions that new buildings could proceed over the next five years.
It was an eye opening and exciting experience to discuss future plans for our school with fellow student councillors. – Georgia Williams (SA5) Year 12 St Anthony Captain
The morning was a great opportunity to bond as a community of leaders. In groups, we highlighted the benefits within the College and what is currently working for our education, but also sought to improve and enhance our ways of learning, both individually and collaboratively. We look forward to meeting again, sharing a meal together and contributing to the school’s future plans. – Adam Paolillo (SE5) Year 11 Senario Councillor
Participating in the leadership forum was a great experience. It was wonderful to see all the leaders together brainstorming and simply getting to know one another better. Many great and diverse ideas came about from the forum and it’s exciting to see where these ideas will lead in the future. – Tess Ryan (SE5) Head Girl
On Wednesday the 12th of June was our first leadership forum this year. I found meeting with all the student leaders in the College gave us an opportunity to expand on ways we can improve our school and we were able to come up with innovative ways to do so. – Emilly Gregson (SE4) Year 12 Senario Captain
