Australia-Indonesia BRIDGE School Partnerships Program
Servite College has been selected for continued participation in the Australia-Indonesia BRIDGE School Partnerships Program in 2022.
The program is supported by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and implemented by Asia Education Foundation at Asialink, The University of Melbourne.
BRIDGE offers a unique opportunity for schools to equip their students to be ready for the world. Building Relationships through Intercultural Dialogue and Growing Engagement (BRIDGE).
BRIDGE establishes international partnerships between students, teachers and school communities.
In this program, students collaborate on projects, practice language skills and develop friendships with students at their partner school.
Through the use of a blended model of teacher professional learning, face-to-face and online learning plus an international homestay program, BRIDGE supports teachers to use technologies to open their classrooms to the world.
BRIDGE supports students to be global citizens who have:
- deeper intercultural understanding
- real-life digital capability
- new knowledge of Asia and Australia
- strengthened language skill
In 2021, Servite students participated in a virtual meet and greet with our partner school in Balikpapan, a port city on the island of Borneo, in Indonesia.
As we develop our partnership this year, we hope to build our core learning skills of communication and collaboration and to extend our shared cultural understanding.
