iServi News | 19 August 2022 | Term 3, Week 5
As our Year 12 students approach the end of Term 3, this not only marks the end of their journey at Servite College, but for our ATAR students, also marks the beginning of their final examination period. This is a time that can be both exciting and stressful. To support our ATAR students achieve their best, a number of resources and opportunities are being made available to them.
- All Year 12 ATAR students have been allocated a staff mentor. Staff mentors will check in with their student over the next six weeks, and provide information, tips, strategies, resources and advice. The first of these conversations should have already occurred, and would have touched on predicted ATAR’s based on Semester 1 results, along with strategies to help reach or maintain their desired ATAR.
- Mentors will be sharing and distributing a number of resources and information to students. Some of these are included below:
- Last week, all Year 12 ATAR students would have received an activation link for Atomi, an online learning platform that contains syllabus-specific video content, quizzes, personalised revision tools and exam preparation tools. Students will have free access until the end of exams and access to most of their ATAR courses. To learn more about Atomi, I encourage you to what this short video: Atomi – Student Onboarding Video
- In the lead up to Semester 2 exams, staff will be offering a variety of additional tutorials to students. Each week, sessions running will be posted to the Daily Notices.
I want to take this opportunity to remind students and families that all staff are here to provide support, and to please reach out at any time.
Ms Krystal Skelin
Deputy Principal Teaching and Learning
