I thought that the Year 8 Italian excursion to the Azzurri Bocce Club was a great experience with kind and compassionate club members who directed us and taught us the classic Italian game of bocce. The Azzurri Bocce Club members were skilled in the art of food and made delicious spaghetti for us. The dessert was also exciting. Overall it was an amazing experience.

The excursion to the Azzurri Bocce Club was an interesting and unique place where you we were able to embrace the Italian cuisine and a enjoy a fun activity, bocce. I believe that it would be good for younger people to experience the Italian culture. This excursion and was truly a great experience for all who went.

I really enjoyed the Italian excursion to the Bocce Club. After arriving we were given a lunch of pasta and ice cream. After eating we were given a quick presentation on how to play bocce and set off to play. I quickly learnt that I am terrible at playing bocce but I still had heaps of fun playing with my friends! The people at the club where very helpful and patient with us.

Going to the Azzurri Bocce Club was an enriching time. We learnt more about the game bocce and enjoyed some homemade food that was delicious. All the members of the Azzurri Bocce Club were very polite and kind.

It was a very great and immersive experience for me and probably all the people who came. I loved the pasta served by the Nonni and the bocce was really competitive and fun; especially when people would knock your ball out of the way! The Ducati motorbikes and cars were really cool to see in person because I watch a lot of motorsports such as the MotoGP. Overall, I think this was a great way to celebrate language week.
Adamo Rigoli (SM2)
I really enjoyed the experience our teachers presented us. I had never heard of or knew how to play bocce before I ever entered the club but the people there were willing to give their time to help us play. We are very grateful to the teachers who took us to the Bocce Club and to the members of the club who made us delicious spaghetti.

I really liked playing bocce as it was a fun to do and all members of the club were really nice and welcoming. The spaghetti was delicious and the ice cream was an unexpected treat. Having the chance to hear older generations share their ethnicity was such a wonderful thing, thank you to the Azzurri Bocce Club for hosting us!
Lydia Smokrovic (SM5)
I thought the cars were very cool because I have never seen an Alfa Romeo from the 70’s or 80’s and I thought it would be quite rare to see a few!
Olivia Lombardo (OLS6)
I really enjoyed the pasta cooked by the Nonni and Nonne. I also liked learning how to professionally mark out bocce and learn more about it in general. I also really enjoyed the Italian car show and how they had different models of the same car and bike. It was cool too see how they changed overtime.
