Holy Week
As we journey through the most holy time of our year, we have been given an opportunity to dedicate this Holy Week to Jesus through our prayer, acts of service and personal sacrifice as a family. We encourage you to use this opportunity to build deep family bonds and dedicate at least one moment every day to Jesus. Pope Francis’ shared this wish with our whole Church in his Pontifical Message to mark the start of Holy Week:
“Let us try, if we can, to make the best use of this time: let us be generous; let us help those in need in our neighbourhood; let us look out for the loneliest people, perhaps by telephone or social networks; let us pray to the Lord for those who are in difficulty in Italy and in the world. Even if we are isolated, thought and spirit can go far with the creativity of love. This is what we need today: the creativity of love.”
Family Faith Formation
In support of our community, we have developed a Family Faith Formation portal as a rich resource for families to access at home, including a collection of podcasts, videos, apps and readings. Please visit our developing site, available here:

We also invite our families to share their faith with their neighbours. As a family you may like to discuss and plan how you can show your faith within your community and join a new global trend.
Liturgies
Finally, we wish to remind our families of the many opportunities to join in the Holy Week liturgies including the Vatican’s livestream, our Archdiocese livestream and we would also encourage you to contact your local parish for their events.
We wish all members of the Servite community a safe and sacred Holy Week. You are all in our prayers and we look forward to connecting with you all again in Term 2.
