Year 8 Humanities Excursion
This week our Year 8 Humanities students took a very pleasant stroll along the coast from Sorrento to Trigg. Along the way students learned about the different coastal landforms and how the processes of erosion and deposition have shaped these parts of our coastline over time. We observed in the field the process of long shore drift and the creation of headlands and bays. We also noted how humans have attempted to manage the coastline through the building of groynes, walls and protection of dunes.
Humanities Tutoring
The Humanities Learning Area is providing tutoring sessions every Thursday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. All students in Years 7 to 10 are encouraged to attend where they can access additional guidance and support in relation to their current Humanities work. Staff and mentor students will be on hand during the sessions which will take place in the Alexis Research Centre (ARC).
