Proudly the first Catholic school in WA to deliver fast track programs into university, at Servite we value opportunities to support our students in their transition into higher education. The College has initiated partnerships with the tertiary education sector to pilot Uni MyWay, including the Murdoch FlexiTrack and Curtin UniReady programs.
Our Curtin UniReady student cohort recently embarked on an excursion to the Bentley campus. Students attended an information session on the diverse courses and strong support networks available to them next year, before exploring the campus facilities through a guided tour.
Students showed great curiosity throughout the day and it was pleasing to see them immerse themselves in this experience.

The excursion provided us an opportunity to explore and gain insight into what life as a Curtin student would be like. We met up with student ambassadors who discussed future career paths with us and spoke about their positive experiences at Curtin. It was great to hear about the flexibility and lifestyle of being a university student such as the option to study online. The ambassadors were very knowledgeable and highlighted a number of social opportunities to become involved in. It was very surprising to hear that Curtin has over 130 social clubs that students can join. We were encouraged us to explore and to become comfortable with our future campus in our first semester next year. I look forward to all the opportunities that await next year!

The presenters at Curtin provided some useful advice on the transition from high school to university. In particular, the importance of networking for learning, socialising and for future career prospects and development. The excursion was informative and fun. We explored the campus and participated in a range of activities, including a scavenger hunt and a tour of the library complex. We also had the opportunity to explore the student guild area, including the cafes and restaurants available. It was a special day for all students involved.
