Education Assistant – Special Needs, Medical
This role involves delivering personalised support in an inclusive environment, including assistance with personal care, feeding, mobility and participation in learning activities under the direction of teaching staff.
The Education Assistant reports directly to the Head of Learning Area – Learning Diversity
Some Essential requirements include:
- Cert IV in School Based Education Support
- Working with Children Check
- Willingness to assist with personal care, including toileting and feeding.
- Trained or willing to be trained in PEG feeding and manual handling/hoisting.

Given the hands on nature of the work and the requirement for 1:1 support, the position attracts an additional Level 4, Category 1 promotional allowance.
