Masterplan
Upgrades to the College
We are currently in the process of executing our exciting Masterplan, marking a transformative era for our College and community. The Masterplan includes a range of upgrades and new designs that will encompass innovative developments, including:
- College Chapel
- Brand new state-of-the-art gymnasium
- Expanded playing fields on Morgan Street
- The relocation of Montorsoli Centre to the main campus
- New street frontage along Cape Street.
These exciting developments reflect our continued commitment to providing student opportunities in dynamic and innovative learning spaces.
Nannup Campus
Our campus located in Nannup offers a unique and different learning environment for our students, giving Servite a distinct point of difference. The campus sits on 55 acres of natural beauty near a lake and surrounded by forest. It currently sleeps 60 students with plans to increase this space in the future. Our Nannup Campus is used for a variety of activities including Senior school retreats and Visual Art, Performing Arts and Biology camps.
Our Year 9 HASS and Science Learning Experience allows students to learn through investigating curriculum outcomes with Nannup as the cast study. In 2024 Servite College was a Finalist for the Australian Education Awards for our unique Nannup Learning Experience.
Every year our Year 11/12 music students also participate and perform at the renowned Nannup Music Festival. This opportunity gives them insight into the setting up of a professional music festival.
Flexibility and innovation
Learning Spaces
Our learning spaces at the College are designed to foster flexibility and innovation. Our classrooms can be easily reconfigured to support a variety of teaching and learning styles. Whether it’s group work, individual study, or teacher-led instruction, the adaptable nature of our spaces ensures that we can meet the diverse needs of every learner.
Each classroom is carefully crafted with no designated “front” or “back.” TV screens are strategically placed on both sides of the room, and teacher desks are movable, promoting a more dynamic and interactive learning environment. This flexibility ensures that learning can happen in any direction, fostering a collaborative atmosphere where students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, and teachers can navigate the space as both instructors and facilitators.
All our furniture and surfaces are moveable and flexible, allowing students and teachers to create layouts that suit the lesson at hand. Every surface, from the walls to the desks and even the glass windows, serves as a whiteboard. These writable surfaces empower students to engage in hands-on learning, offering the freedom to brainstorm, experiment, and make mistakes, with the opportunity to try again. This approach encourages a growth mindset and active participation, creating a learning environment where every student can contribute.
The use of glass walls in our classrooms offers transparency and visibility into each learning space. This not only promotes an open and collaborative environment but also enables teachers and students to feel connected across the school. Many classrooms are situated near outdoor breakout spaces, offering students the opportunity to transition seamlessly between indoor and outdoor learning environments, further enhancing engagement.
In addition to our classrooms, the Alexis Research Centre is a hub for ‘anywhere, anytime’ learning. This space is dedicated to nurturing students as researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. It is equipped to support both quiet independent study and collaborative group work, offering a versatile environment for learning. The centre is currently being renovated to include quiet study booths and a dedicated virtual reality space, adding to its already robust resources, including traditional library materials.
With these facilities, we aim to cultivate an atmosphere of exploration, innovation, and adaptability, ensuring that students have the tools and environment they need to thrive.
