Student well-being

About Our Wellness Team

Our Wellness Team consists of Counsellors, Psychologists and the College Nurse, led by the Deputy Principal – Community. The team is available to:

  • Provide confidential counselling to students
  • Build rapport with students, assessing their emotional needs, abilities and potential
  • Consult with parents and/or liaise with external professionals on student matters as required
  • Tend to and focus on students’ mental health and well-being and how this may be affecting their ability to learn in the classroom
  • Care for students who are feeling unwell, or have sustained an injury at school

Counsellors adopt a holistic approach to address the social, emotional, and behavioural needs of all students at the College. Collaborating closely with students, staff and parents, the College provides tailored support to help each young person reach their academic potential within the context of their individual circumstances.
