- A Pastoral care system where students belong to one of six Priories with a dedicated Head of Community to offer guidance and support
- A Counselling team comprising of the College Psychologist and counsellors who can provide support and advice on-site.
- Programs, Workshops and Presentations
The Priory System
At Servite, all students and staff belong to one of six Priories (house/faction):
- Annunziata (yellow)
- Senario (black)
- San Clemente (green)
- Saint Mary (blue)
- Our Lady of Sorrows (purple)
- Saint Anthony (red)
Each Priory contains seven Homerooms.
Homeroom
Students remain in the same Homeroom, with the same Homeroom Teacher, throughout their time at the College. Each Homeroom is made up of boys and girls from Year 7 to Year 12, so everyone has an opportunity to engage with different year levels.
Homeroom runs for the first 10 minutes of each day and a bit longer on Wednesdays for our Pastoral Care Program.
Homeroom Teacher
The Homeroom Teacher has the most important role in our Priory system, responsible for providing an environment wherein each student is personally known and valued. The Homeroom Teacher is an advisor and first point of contact for students and families for most questions or concerns.
Head of Community
Each Priory is guided by a Head of Community (HOC), who is a leader in promoting the care and overall well-being of students. HOCs have a key role in fostering a sense of connection and belonging at the College, promoting a friendly, hospitable and respectful environment.
To support the wellbeing of students as they move through the year levels at the College, Heads of Community liaise with parents, Homeroom Teachers and Heads of Learning Areas in tracking student progress and resolving pastoral issues.
HOCs build Priory spirit and encourage staff and students to become involved in the life of the Priory, coordinate Priory activities, year-level activities and whole school events, as well as the selection of Student Leaders who will work with them to ensure the smooth running of their Priory.
Student Wellbeing
Servite is committed to nurturing a strong sense of wellbeing in its students. Through diverse opportunities, students are encouraged to build the skills and knowledge needed to grow in faith, regulate emotions, navigate relationships, adapt to change, and cultivate resilience, organisation, and balance in their lives. The weekly Pastoral Care Program (PCP) serves as an opportunity for students to explore, develop, and appreciate the spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and intellectual dimensions of their whole being.
Servite College Counsellors, Vice Principal and Principal are also available for support.
