2023 Grandparents Day

On Wednesday, 27 July 2023 we came together as a community to honour our grandparents and the other special grandparent figures in our lives in celebration of Word Day for Grandparents and the Elderly.

Grandparents are so important as they are the start of our story. Celebrating this day gave us all an opportunity to reflect on all the sacrifices our grandparents have made to allow us to live the lives we have today. We are deeply grateful for their love of family and community.

The morning started off with a lovely mass at St Kieran Parish Church followed by a delicious morning tea in the ARC.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the grandparents and elderly within our community – we hope you always feel welcome, respected and safe.

And we hope the guests who joined us had a wonderful time, thank you for taking the time to be part of our special event. And thank you to the students who made the lovely vases – they made great centrepieces for our floral arrangements.
