Alumni Spotlight: James Rowe (Class of 2015)

Topic Alumni
Date May 1, 2025

I graduated from Servite College in 2015. At Servite, I had the opportunity to be a Priory Leader for Senario, participate in the Humanities tour to Sydney/Canberra, and to learn a second language. These are all fantastic memories, and I know that it was at school that I developed my interests in politics and community service.

Since graduating in 2015, I have completed an Honours and Masters Degree in Political Science and Law at UWA. I was elected as a City of Wanneroo Councillor in 2021 and appointed Deputy Mayor in October 2023. Serving as one of the youngest members of Council, I am committed to bringing a new perspective and a fresh approach to local politics.

I have returned to the College several times over the past ten years. This has included the opportunity to speak to a class of Year Ten students, encouraging them to consider a future career in local government. During these visits, it has been fantastic to see new services and building improvements for the next generation of Servite graduates.
