One of my favourite memories from Year 12 was winning my last Inter-Priory Athletics Carnival. As a Priory Captain of Saint Anthony’s, I was lucky enough to deliver the winners speech in front of the whole school to the Priory and to Mr Wilkes. It was truly a moment I will cherish and remember forever.
Another core memory of mine was the final day of Year 12, where we gathered as a year group for the last time and belted out the Servite Anthem. There was something so special about this moment because you learn this song in Year 7 and are encouraged to sing it at assemblies, but you don’t realise it’s true importance and meaning until you look back and realise how far you’ve come and what you’ve achieved.
After graduating from Servite College, I studied a degree in secondary teaching at Edith Cowan University. I then taught at many schools, including some time spent working in the northwest of Western Australia. I’m currently working back at Servite College, which some would describe as a full circle moment!
I feel privileged to return to such an amazing community full of culture and beautiful people. When I’m not teaching Humanities, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going on adventures and travelling to new places.
