In Week 9, Servite College hosted its annual Careers Expo. The event featured representatives from a wide range of education and training providers including the state’s six universities, North and South Metro TAFE and various trade training organisations covering most industry areas. In all, 30 exhibitors accepted our invitation to attend the College 2025 Expo. This whole school event which continues to grow each year aims to bring as many training providers and training options to the one location, to make information easily accessible for students of all years and to expand their understanding of potential career pathways.
The 2025 Expo began at 2.30pm, with the exhibitors being greeted to the College by Year 10 Priory leaders who escorted them and assisted in setting up their displays in the College Gym. Our exhibitors were also offered refreshments and food prior to students the official start of the event. Once again our visitors were extremely complimentary about the assistance and hospitality showed to them by our young leaders.
As in previous years, the engagement from students was exceptional. Many asked thoughtful, well-informed questions, reflecting the preparation done in the lead-up to the event.
The Careers Expo continues to be a valuable opportunity for students to explore the wide range of options available after Year 12. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, and the number of brochures and resources collected by students was a clear sign of their enthusiasm and curiosity.
We thank all our visiting exhibitors and look forward to continuing this important event in the years to come.
