Shrove Tuesday

SHROVE TUESDAY 🥞

Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent in the Christian calendar. Traditionally, it is a day of feasting before the fasting period of Lent begins. The word “Shrove” comes from the old English word shriven, meaning to confess sins and seek forgiveness.

To celebrate this day, students were treated to pancakes during Break 1 on the Alexis Lawn.
