School of Rock Production Workshops – A Rockin’ Success!

In Week 3, our School of Rock cast, crew, and band took part in two dynamic and highly productive production workshop days. Students participated in vocal sessions with Miss Milly Barling, intensive blocking, dance, and band rehearsals with our staff team (Mrs Teresa Thomas, Ms Chanel Dimascio, Mrs Melissa Rosso, Mr Riley Burrows, Mr Francis Joseph, Mr Alex Christou), and received valuable coaching from alumni Claudia Donatelli (Class of 2020) and Kailee Young (Class of 2022), who is currently completing a double major in Theatre Studies and Journalism at Curtin University.

A highlight of the workshops was a full run-through of Act 1, showcasing the students’ energy, teamwork, and commitment. The days provided an excellent opportunity to focus on scenes, transitions, character development, and ensemble work. It was fantastic to see the entire cast come together with enthusiasm and professionalism as we now head into the second phase of rehearsals—building momentum toward our Term 3 performance dates.
