Last term the Year 10 GATE class had an amazing opportunity to partake in a very special excursion looking into the world of criminology! Here’s what they said about the day:
“Last term our Year 10 GATE class experienced the Criminology and Forensics Excursion. We began our day by visiting Murdoch, where we presented our findings on the 50-year-old unsolved case of the Zodiac Killer and were taught the mind of a burglar.
Next, we continued our journey to Fremantle where the class split up and teamed up to do an escape room each. One escape room was based around the Western Jailbreak whilst the other revolved around King Arthur’s Knights. Fortunately, one group managed to successfully escape their room. Before our final activity, we stopped for dinner at Grill’d where we all enjoyed a well-earnt meal.
To conclude the day, we went on the Fremantle Prison Torchlight Tour. The tour provided us with a glimpse into the prison’s dark history, with stories of inmates and their daring escape attempts. The tour guide shared chilling tales of the harsh condition’s prisoners endured and the punishments they faced. The eerie atmosphere of the prison, the heart stopping jump scares, and the chilling tales told made it a truly thrilling and enjoyable experience for us all.”
