Servite College was proud to host the 2025 Futures Expo on Thursday 12th June in the Alexis Research Centre. Now in its second year, the event has grown significantly, welcoming 12 exhibitors from across the disability sector to support our Year 9–12 Learning Diversity students in planning for life beyond school.
This year’s Expo brought together a wide range of service providers, including WorkPower, Bizlink, Edge Employment, Down Syndrome WA, Lightbulb Skills, Intelife, Life Without Barriers, Thriving in Motion, Austraining WA, Medela Health, Your Supported Living, and APM: Disability Employment Services. Each organisation offered insight into the pathways available in training, employment, independent living, and community engagement. The event created a valuable space for students and families to connect directly with industry professionals and gather resources tailored to their individual goals and needs.
The Futures Expo is an important part of the College’s Transition to Adult Life program, designed to prepare students with disabilities for a successful and supported future beyond school. Events like this provide families with practical information and personal connections to help guide next steps with greater confidence.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of our participating organisations for their time and commitment, to the Learning Diversity team for organising the event, and to the LDC Collective for baking and serving their delicious cookies.
We look forward to an even bigger Futures Expo in 2026 as we continue to support every student on their journey toward independence and meaningful engagement in life after school.
