Year 9 Nannup Rotations

Topic Events
Date November 29, 2024

Last week, the final Nannup rotations returned from their down south adventure. The program supports students to tackle real world issues, enhances their problem solving and research skills and provides an immersive learning opportunity through a short residential stay at the Servite College Monte Senario Campus, Nannup.

As the students now work on their final presentations, preparing to pitch to the Shire of Nannup and our College community, we can reflect on the past three weeks and the incredible opportunities we had along the way.

During a visit to Cambray Cheese, one group was introduced to one day old lambs. Unfortunately their mother was unwell, so our students assisted in caring for them temporarily while she recovered. We then spoke with the business owners who shared the challenges they face running a business in a small community, prompting us to consider ways we could help them overcome these obstacles.

As a final activity, each group reflected on their time in Nannup. The students visit Tank 7, where they enjoyed stunning views of the town and its surroundings. Tank 7 is also home to a series of world-class mountain biking trails, some featuring challenging jumps and cutbacks—an exciting way to cap off our time in Nannup.

We look forward to seeing the final presentations!
