Our Year 8 Foods class hosted their first Afternoon Tea session this term.
The students spent time producing a range of food suitable for serving and had the opportunity to host another Year 8 elective class.
There was a variety of foods ranging from savoury to sweet and the afternoon was enjoyed by all the students and some lucky teachers with sausage rolls appearing to be the definite standout.
“I liked the sausage rolls a lot! But only the beef ones. My favourite recipe to make was definitely these.”
Gabriel Wood (SC3)
“At the afternoon tea I really enjoyed hanging out with friends and the atmosphere it brought. I’ve never made Anzac biscuits or quiches before but they were really tasty so I will definitely be making them again. My favourite recipe to cook was the sausage rolls – they were the tastiest in my opinion”.
Kaitlyn Rayworth (SA6)
Well done to the Year 8 students and Ms Poga for all your hard work and a successful afternoon tea.
