Earlier this term, our Year 11 Children, Family & Community students participated in the Baby Think It Over program, run by Christina from Red Ginger Wellness.
The class completed an induction and a debrief with Christina, and learnt about the challenges associated with parenting and the needs of newborns.
Each student had their own virtual baby to care for over the weekend, where they were required to undergo tasks such as feeding, changing, rocking and burping their babies.
The students found it a realistic and challenging simulation of what caring for a newborn baby is like. All students did remarkably well in caring for the babies, with two students achieving 100% proper care!
