Alumni Spotlight: Alessando Circati (Class of 2021)

Topic Alumni
Date March 20, 2025

I graduated in 2021, and for me, one of the most special memories was going to school with friends and enjoying every minute of it—whether in class or during breaks. It’s something we often take for granted while living it.

Currently, I am playing football in Italy for Parma Calcio and I am also part of the (Socceroos) Australian National Team.

Life has taken me on a very unusual path, moving initially to England to play there but I experienced issues with Brexit making it impossible for me to sign with a team. I moved to Europe where I hold an EU passport, and now this year it’s my fourth season as a ‘professional’ player after last year winning the league, gaining promotion into Series A and playing World Cup qualifiers with the Socceroos.

At the start of this season in September, after an amazing start beating teams of the likes of AC Milan, I tore my ACL which was the biggest setback and personal difficulty which I’ve had to overcome, leaving me unable to play for 6 months. Only now writing this, I am one month away from going back to being able to play like before.
